A Calhoun man has been arrested for battery, with more charges to follow, after sending a woman to the hospital.

According the Calhoun Police Chief Garry Moss, on Monday afternoon, an officer was notified of a possible altercation at Oglethorpe Inn on Red Bud Road.

When the officers arrived at the Inn, they found a female who had been severely beaten. She was taken to Gordon Hospital, treated and released.
