Four-acre forest fire closes road in Rome

Officials have said they are closing the Morrison Campground Road because of thick smoke from a nearby forest fire in the area.

According to Floyd County police Cpl. Mary Catherine Chewning:

The fire is approximately four acres in size. Chewning described the fire as "intentionally set" and said someone went down a trail lighting the area on fire.
