Golf: Ashworth and Sonoraville girls tie; Sonoraville wins boys match

Monday at Summertree Golf Course, the Ashworth and Sonoraville girls tied 113-113 with Woodland coming in with a team score of 122. Low medalist for the match was Sonoraville’s McKenna Burger with a 51. For Ashworth Becky Worsham carded a 56. Amber Gwin turned in a 39 for Ashworth with Sonoraville’s other counting score coming from Ashley Holcomb with a 62.

The Sonoraville boys won their three-way match with a team score of 185. Ashworth came in second with a 207 with Woodland chasing close scoring a 209. Low Medalist for the match was Sonoraville’s Gunter Jordan scoring a 42 followed by teammate Gran Clark shooting a 45. Ashworth’s Branton Bailey shot a 46. Other counting scores for Sonoraville were Tanner Sanderson with a 48 and Justin Jones carding a 50. For Ashworth Turner Seymore came in with a 53, Mason Miles and Seth Culpepper scored 54 each.
