SMS, Ashworth split golf match

The Sonoraville boys golf team defeated Ashworth by nine shots, winning 201 to 210 at the Calhoun Elks Club. The boys team was lead by Gunter Jordan and Tanner Sanderson who both shot 46, followed by Grant Clark with a 48.

Ashworth's Branton Bailey was the low medalist in the boys match with a 40. Mason Miles carded a 48 followed by 59 by Seth Culpepper. Turner Seymore shot a 63

Ashworth Girls Golf Team defeated Sonoraville with a team score of 126 – 109. Amber Gwin shot a 54 making her the low medalist for the match while shooting her personal best. Also shooting her personal best was Becky Worsham with a 54.

McKenna Burger led the way for the Phoenix with a round of 60, followed by Ashley Holcomb with a round of 66.
