North Georgia went down to Stockbridge shorthanded when the kick off time was moved to 5 p.m. with short notice.
A scheduling conflict with the Extreme's home field caused the team to move further south to play and bump up the kick off time.
"I thought we still had enough of our guys there to win, but we just played a very sloppy game,” said Bulldogs owner Kacee Smith. “Missing a few people here and there can really show in a good game. The Extreme is a very good team and you better be at your best when you play them."
By losing this game, North Georgia was knocked down in the playoff seeding and will now have to travel to Jefferson County, Florida on Sept. 4 to play the Warriors.
The Warriors are originally from South Georgia but moved across the state line and are now located in Florida.
Earlier this year the Warriors won the 2010 national tournament to win the national championship.
"We hope to be able to carry most of the guys for this game, but with it being such a long distance game we know a few may not get to go with work schedules,” said Smith. “We know we will have our hands full, but have all intentions of coming back to Calhoun with a win."
