New Echota to host demonstrations Saturday

Friends of New Echota and New Echota State Historic Site invite visitors to view Historic Demonstrations and tour the museum and grounds of this unique and valuable 19th century Cherokee treasure on Saturday, Aug. 28.

There will be early 19th century demonstrations of traditional beadwork and jewelry making, as well as deer hide brain tanning techniques and Cherokee storytelling with puppets.

The print shop, as well as Vann’s Tavern, will be open for visitors.
