Mr. and Mrs. Caris Lanier Roland are pleased to announce the engagement of their

daughter, Rachel Danielle Roland to Steve Edward Dillard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve

Marlin Dillard and Ms. Vicki Owens Dillard, all of Calhoun.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John William Roland of

Calhoun, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gilbert Lusk of Calhoun. A 2005 graduate of Calhoun

High School, Miss Roland graduated from Dalton State College in May of this year with

a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. Rachel is employed by

Calhoun City Schools as a paraprofessional.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. Billy Eugene Dillard and Mrs. Shelby

Jean Dillard of Calhoun, the late Ms. Sara Ann Combs Dillard of Calhoun, and Mr.

and Mrs. James Edward Owens of Calhoun. A 1997 graduate of Calhoun High School,

Stevie attended Gadsden State College and Kennesaw State University, and is employed

by Fox & Brindle Construction Company.

A September wedding is planned at the Roland Farm in Calhoun.
