Arrest made in two-year rape case

Richard Baldwin, 25, was arrested Thursday and charged as the perpetrator of a rape that occurred in September of 2008.

According to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the mother of a juvenile, whose name has not been released, reported that her daughter had been raped at a home belonging to Baldwin.

The report states that the victim told her mother the rape occurred on Friday, Sept. 19, 2008 during a party at the residence.

Baldwin denied being aware of the victim’s rape, according to the incident report. The victim, who subjects stated was passed out on the couch, stated that she was woken up by an unknown subject holding her down.

The report states that the victim said the next thing she remembered was waking up with her pants and underwear off.Baldwin is being held by the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office and has yet to have a bond hearing according to a Gordon County jail official.

I am the uncle of the accused, if that matters. Not real sure what you mean by "Livingdead", or the "Scatter brain" comment. Please elaborate.

You Don't know this person. He has never been in any serious trouble in his life. He is married, and his wife is going to have a baby any day now. There are many things about the situation, and the people involved that will have to be answered in court. The girl, did not report it as rape, her mother did, after finding what she said was semen on her clothing, of which the panties were not even her's Before you all go to such extremes, and believe that this young man is a monster, you should await the details to come out in court. I can assure, you He is no Monster. By the way, his wife, and the alleged Victim, are still close friends, at least until the arrest. Now we will see what comes from this. However, I should hope that he gets a bond hearing, as it would truly be criminal for him to miss the birth of his first child, before he even is proven guilty.
