Adairsville man arrested on meth charges

On Monday, July 12, The Adairsville Police Department arrested an individual for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

According to Chief Charles Stafford:

Police officers from the Adairsville Police Department arrested Rick Welton Holcomb, 49, of 5922 Joe Frank Harris Parkway, Adairsville on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

After being stopped for a traffic violation, Holcomb’s vehicle and person was searched. The officer found cash, digital scales, and methamphetamine. Chief Stafford estimated the street value of the methamphetamine to be approximately $600.

Holcomb was transported to the Bartow County Sheriff’s office jail and is awaiting bond.
