A federal judge denied the defendants' motions to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a former Chickamauga school teacher who was found not guilty of 22 counts of child molestation.

U.S. District Court Judge Harold L. Murphy ruled Tuesday that the case would not be dismissed but that attorneys for Tonya Craft, the teacher, must re-file an amended complaint with clarification within 14 days.

Craft claims those who accused her of child molestation, including several social workers and the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office, caused her a two-year ordeal that cost her thousands in legal bills and emotional distress.

Craft filed a $25 million suit against 15 defendants including her ex-husband, the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Department, Catoosa County and two child advocacy groups.

The suit was filed on May 24, about two weeks after the end of Craft’s trial.

Earlier this month Craft’s ex-husband Joel Henke, his wife Sarah and Laurie Evans, a therapist for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, all filed motions to dismiss the lawsuits against them as well as asking the judge to order clarification of the suit.
