The Calhoun girls 7-8 All-Stars recently won the District 5 Championship. The girls went undefeated the entire tourney, clinching the final win in the last inning with a two-out hit that scored the winning run from second. They won 21-20. The team will head to the state tourney in Murray County July 8-10. Representing the team, from left to right, are (first row) Erin Barnes, Chloe Fitch, (second row) Lesley Pacheco, Mattie Jane Mashburn, Ashlyn Brzozoski, Tessey Hooper, Anna Taylor, (third row) Hayden McCollum, Brooke Fowler, Molly Walker, Destiny Dickinson, Lona Sims, (back row) coaches Mason Mashburn, Brad Fitch, Emanuel Pacheco, and Brooke Sims.
