Gordon County Schools would like to invite the public to visit Gordon Central High School cafeteria to review state learning resources and textbooks in July.

Gordon Central High School will be the host site for the 11th Congressional District Learning Resource evaluation this summer. The school system was selected as one of 13 sites chosen to review materials throughout the state.

This year’s recommendation cycle is for grades K-12 Fine Arts, K-12 Social Studies, K-12 Health and Physical Education, and grades 9-12 advanced mathematical decision making courses.

There are a total of 39 publishers that have indicated that they will be submitting learning resources/textbooks to be displayed for review.

The dates are June 28 through July 15 for the teachers and public to visit and examine the learning resources. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The high school will be closed on July 5.
