Tennessee Titan arrested for a driving with a suspended license

Derrick Morgan, a defensive end for the Tennessee Titans, was arrested at approximately 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 18 after being pulled over for speeding on Interstate 75 in Resaca, according to Gordon County Sheriff Mitch Ralston.

According to Gordon County Sheriff Mitch Ralston:

A Gordon County deputy reportedly pulled Morgan over for going 91 mph in a 70 mph zone after calculating his speed using a 'laser' speed detection device. A routine check of Morgan's license indicated it was suspended.

Morgan was taken to the Gordon County Jail where he was processed and released on a $2018 bond about two hours later, according to Ralston.

Ralston said that the arrest, booking process and release were all accomplished without incident and described by Chief Deputy Robert Paris as routine.

The arresting officer described Morgan as polite and cooperative.

According to Ralston, “no investigation is underway into this matter, and no further charges are expected to be filed.”

Resaca and that part of I-75 is Georgia's Number one Speed Trap they must not have any thing better to do and need the money! I am all for arresting people for DUI and other crimes and 91 MPH is way too fast. I will say to constantly monitor that area for speed is over the top and no I have never been given a ticket there.

Once again Mitch Ralston and his clan are on the front page of the paper! Notice the bold! It is sad that we don't get any other news besides the daily coming and goings of our Sheriff's dept. Does someone at the calhountimes have a cot strategically place at Sheriff Mitch Ralston's bed side, or does he just call the calhoun times everytime he gets a call! BORING!!

Hope Vu's officer is not a local school graduate. Calculating, not a strong-suit here.
