Calhoun City Council will have a work session today, June 14, at noon at the city utilities building on West Line Street.
The council meeting will take place tonight at 7 p.m. at the Calhoun Depot at 109 King Street.
During the meeting, the council will: Have a public hearing for a request form Rex Todd with Todd Development, for zoning chanbes from Ind-G to R-2 and a variance on parking spaces from two spaces to 1.5 and the maximum building coverage from 35 percent to 70 percent.
Have a public hearing for a variance request by Calhoun REalty and Development Co. for a green belt buffer variance for PRD zoning form 50 feet to 20 feet for a location at 233 Regency Lane.
Have a public hearing for a beer pouring license request by Wurud Asadi for Back Gate restaurant.
Have the second public hearing on the city's annual operating budget and operating plan for fiscal year July 1, 2010-June 20,. 2011.
Hear from Rex Todd and Tonya Haddock, representing Landmark, regarding a resolution concerning the Cherokee Mills Lofts project.
Address a support letter for the Calhoun Federal Housing Authority regarding support of the Cherokee Mills Lofts project.
Discuss: DOT Intersection Improvemtn Project contract and reimbursement agreement; hear the first reading on a beer pouring license request from Jiang Jingsen for Eastern Buffet; hear the first of two reading for the City of Calhoun Board of Education proposed budget for 2010-2011.
