Early voting began this week for the democratic and republican primary election July 20.

Early voting will take place Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until July 16 at the Gordon County Voter Registration Office, located in the courthouse annex.

Advanced voting will begin July 12 and will continue through July 16.

In order to limit voter confusion, the Georgia Secretary of State has launched a new website for voters called AMVP. MVP allows voters to view a sample ballot for upcoming elections, find their election day polling location and early voting locations in their county, check registration status, track the status of their absentee ballot, and more.

Voters can access the website at www.sos.ga.gov.

For more information, call the Board of Elections at 706-629-7781.
