Beverly Cox, lead x-ray tech for Gordon Hospital’s Radiology Department, has been awarded the hospital’s prestigious Extra Mile Award.

This special award was created by members of the hospital’s Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded monthly to a deserving employee selected by the hospital’s directors.

“I am very honored to receive this award,” Cox said. “I work with a great team and that makes my job easy. I enjoy my job!”

Raina Sanford, director of Radiology at Gordon Hospital, said Cox is very deserving of the recognition.

“Beverly goes the extra mile to help everyone in the Radiology Department,” Sanford said. “She consistently receives praise and recognition from her peers and supervisors for doing excellent work in a kind and caring manner.”

Cox has been employed by Gordon Hospital for four years. She and her husband, Randy, have been married for 31 years and they reside in Fairmount. In her spare time she enjoys scrap booking, motorcycling, photography, and traveling across the country.
