A Calhoun man was arrested after getting into an altercation with police and threatening a woman with a knife.
According to a report filed by Calhoun Police Officer J. Stansell:
Argelio Perez Rivas, 24, of 104 Louise Ave. Apt. 6 was charged with aggravated assault on Sunday. The officer arrived and allegedly found Rivas with a large knife in his right hand and a “stick or pipe” in his left hand. Stansell states in his report that he pulled his serve weapon and ordered him to drop the knife.
Rivas ran into the apartment and attempted to hide the knife. Stansell entered the apartment and ordered him to the floor. Rivas allegedly approached the officer “in an offensive manner” and Stansell threw him to the floor. According to the report, the man told the officer he was illegal and didn’t have any identification.

Linky...What happened? I missed whatever you first said.
Anti...What are you preaching? One day you're talking against illegals, and the next, youre trying to come across as a nice guy.
Sir...What gives? While I agree with much of your post, some of it's rather radical. Were you using sarcasim?
Again, please avoid expletives.
He didn't have his Acorn identification papers his ACLU membership card, or his Democratic Voter Registration ID on him, so what's a poor misplaced person who accidently took a wrong turn and walked here from elsewhere to do?
Leave him alone! Let him move next door to you, replace you at work, get free medical care, marry your daughter, and file for federal aid and get a loan that you'd never get.
