The Calhoun Police Department will be actively involved in the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety “Click-it or Ticket” traffic enforcement campaign which begins May 24, 2010 thru June 6, 2010. During this time “Road checks” will be conducted at various locations throughout the City of Calhoun. The Calhoun Police Department is very concerned about the safety of our citizens and encourages everyone to buckle up and insure your child restraints are properly installed; and you children are secured in them. We would also like to remind everyone that the Legislature has passed the seat belt law for pickup trucks and it is presently waiting to be signed by the Governor; and after the signing of this law, it will go into effect July 1, 2010.

Guess we can plan on another roadblock on Peter Street again....for the umpteenth time this past year.

Watch out for the youn blond lady cop....she thinks she's Clint Eastwood, but is more like just a disgruntled Rosie O'Donnell on slimfast with a gun.

Chief Mess has to pay for his two new four wheel ATVs.

They were painted the color of sand; maybe he wants glossy black to match the SWAT truck. City paint is not free like the high sheriffs.

Of course, C Mess's never thought about other solutions, e.g. turning off police cars while at Daylight Donuts.

Wonder if we can get a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card like all of our glorious illegal aliens are going to be getting. If we find out that racial profiling will be going on, and ONLY LEGAL CITIZENS are going to be ticketed, maybe we'll get on CNN news. HHHmmm...just dreamin', I guess.

God forbid they not get that $15 for a seatbelt violation. Then they might have to stop one of those rich people doing 80mph through downtown.

I wish the Calhoun Police Dept. AND the State and Federal government would worry a little less about me, and how I CHOOSE to live MY LIFE!
