Aja Diahann Pacheco of Houston and Pfc. Jason Thomas Walden of Calhoun announce their engagement and forthcoming wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Marta Pacheco and Jon and Glenda Reed, all of Houston.

She is a 2003 graduate of Wentzville High School and attended Witchita State University. She is employed by Design A Tee and Club Traffic.

The future bride is the sister of Christopher and Kimberly Pacheco of Houston and the granddaughter of Domingo and Viola Pacheco of Tucumcari, N.M.

The groom-elect is the son of Rodney and Joan Bailey of Calhoun and Zane and Elizabeth Walden of Sneads, Fla.

He is a 2004 graduate of Gordon Central High School and is a soldier in the United States Army. After serving a year in Iraq, he is currently stationed at Fort Drum, New York.

The future groom is the grandson of Helen Phillips of Calhoun, Thomas and Pauline Phillips of Rome, Faye Walden of Sneads, Fla. and the late Raymond Walden. He is the great grandson of Dimple Burger. He is the brother of Eston and Iris Walden of Sneads, Fla.

The wedding will be June 5, 2010 in Houston.
