Tucker D. Blalock graduates basic training

Airman Apprentice Tucker D. Blalock has graduated from Naval Basic Training at the Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. During the nine weeks of training, Blalock studied Navy core values, military drill, the details of rank and rating, the Navy chain of command, customs and courtesies and the basic withstanding. In addition, Blalock received hands-on training in the areas of armed conflict, basic seamanship, shipboard communication, Navy ship and aircraft identification, weapons training, shipboard damage control, first aid and firefighting skills. After graduation, Blalock will go to Pensacola, Fla. to begin training in his occupational specialty as an Aviation Structural Mechanic-Equipment. He is the son of Chris and Nicole Blalock of Calhoun and is a graduate of Gordon Central High School.
