On March 27, 2010, Sonoraville High School Future Business Leaders of America Chapter received the Gold Chapter of the Year--highest ranking possible in state. The SHS FBLA chapter exceeded membership from last year and received the 100 Member Club Award for having more than 100 members locally and the Membership Achievement Award for having achieved a goal membership number from last year. The chapter received a 100% Class Participation Award for having all members of the SHS Legal Environment of Business Class join FBLA this year. They were also spotlighted as being a Conference Sponsor for assisting in the 2010 State Leadership Conference. Lisa Kuhn and Olivia Smith received an award for earning their "Future" Level while at the conference. Kuhn also received awards for earning her "Business", "Leader" and "America" Level Awards while at the conference and qualified to advance and attend the National Leadership Conference this summer in Nashville, Tennessee. Brandi Hayes was awarded the Adviser of the Year Region 8 Runner Up. Other students unable to attend the conference will be awarded their Business Achievement Awards at the SHS FBLA Banquet in May. SHS was also selected to host the 2010 FBLA Summer and Leadership Officer Training Session on June 30.
