Four people were sent for treatment after an SUV rollover on Ga. 53 north of Rome near Autry Road.

The wreck occurred around 8:30 p.m. Saturday and involved a southbound Kia Sportage with Gordon County tags.

Police at the scene said the vehicle was traveling southbound, and a flat tire may have caused the wreck.

The vehicle rolled over six times, traveling an estimated 282 feet, before coming to rest upright in the median, police said.

There were four people in the vehicle and responders had to cut the front doors off both sides of the vehicle.

Ga. 53 was closed to through-traffic but was reopened after about 45 minutes.
