Students in one of Sonoraville Middle School's Enlish Language Arts classes recently completed technical writing projects and students really got their “game on.”

They read a common fairy tale and then worked in small groups to create a game based on the story read. The project requirements were: each game must be directly related to the story, contain game pieces, have a scoring method, be neatly created and contained within a folder, each game must also include a brochure with student-written directions for how to play the game, once the game and instructions are complete and more student based-criteria .

The students worked diligently for two days creating their fairy tale games. Writing technical instructions for how to play each game was challenging, but each group proved their abilities.

Here Alexandria Hunt, Brooke Horner, Robi Glass and Francisco Perez play the game.
