Former Calhoun High School football standout Kris Durham is back from a year long injury that kept him out for all of the 2009 UGA season. However, this spring he is back in action and he is letting his presence known.

Durham scored three touchdowns in Georgia’s second closed scrimmage of the year, which was recently held at Sanford Stadium.

“He is going to do great,” said coach Mark Richt to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, “and I know how he’s excited about practicing again and playing football again.”

The 6-foot-5, 209 pound Durham is UGA’s only senior wide receiver on scholarship. He is an Educational Major and is doing his student-teaching this semester at Oconee County Middle School.

Durham graduates this May and will then begin to work on his Master’s Degree in the summer.

Durham caught 32 passes for 450 yards from 2006-08. His injury caused him to red shirt last year, giving him another year of eligibility this season.
