Sonoraville High School evacuated following a bomb threat

The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a bomb threat that led to the evacuation of Sonoraville High School students and school officials Monday afternoon.

According to Gordon County 911 Emergency officials, sheriff's deputies were dispatched at to the school at 2:18 p.m. after the an alleged "posted bomb threat."

Robert Paris, public information officer with the Gordon County Sheriff's Office, reported that detectives not find or detect any evidence of a bomb at the scene.

The details of the bomb threat have not been released, nor has any information about possible suspects.

A written bomb threat was found inside of the school in December 2009.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted. Superintendent Bill McCown would like to thank the Gordon County Sheriff’s office, as well as the administrative staffs, faculties and students of Sonoraville High School for their prompt and professional response to the situation.

These kids that keep doing this need to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. If your going to play like an adult you need to pay the price like an adult. Then maybe these little brats might grow up and stop doing this.
