BOC recognizes Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month

During the regular April 6 meeting of the Board of Commissioners, the BOC read a proclamation declaring April Parkinson’s Disease, a degenerative disorder of the nervous systems that limits motor skills. Commissioner Chairman Alvin Long presented the proclamation to Connie Ray from Northwest Georgia Parkinson’s Disease Inc. a group that works to educate people on Parkinson’s. Ray was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease several years ago.
