According to the sheriff:
At approximately 3 p.m. on Wednesday, deputy sheriffs arrested Jimmy Dean Wright, 43, of 101 Holcomb Road, Adairsville.
Wright was apprehended at a private residence on Harris-Beamer Road near Calhoun.
Wright had been listed as a 'Top Ten' fugitive on the Sheriff's Office's website and was being sought for violation of the Georgia sex offender registry law, and violation of probation.
Wright was previously been convicted of child molestation.
He was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the county jail.
Two children were at the residence when Wright was apprehended. The investigation is ongoing under the direction of the Sheriff's Detective Division, Sex Offender Monitoring Unit, and the Department of Child and Family Services.
The citizen called in the tip to the sheriff’s office main number of 706-629-1244. Chief Robert Paris, Public Information Officer said all tips are completely anonymous.
Top Ten fugitives are considered highly dangerous, and the sheriff's office urges citizens not to attempt to detain or arrest a person, but instead call the sheriff's office.
All wanted persons should be considered armed and dangerous.
