Austin Childers has not let a disability slow him down. Confined to a wheel chair for the past 10 years, Childers has risen above adversity and competition to become a state champion athlete.

“He is an inspiration to me,” said Gordon Central head track coach, John Rainwater.

Childers, 17, is a member of the Gordon County boys track team, but Childers is also in a team all by himself.
