Gov. Sonny Perdue has proclaimed March 10, 2010, Georgia Library Day.

The Georgia Library Association (GLA), in cooperation with the Georgia Library Media Association and the Georgia Association for Instructional Technology, is holding its Georgia Library Legislative Day in Atlanta, during which librarians and other library advocates visit legislators face to face to urge them to support Georgia libraries.

Librarians throughout Georgia are encouraging patrons to contact legislators and ask for more library support says Carol Stanley

president of Georgia Library Association.

The GLA has set up a Web site where library patrons can find legislative information.
