Early Release starts at 10 a.m. for local schools, 11 a.m. for GNTC

Another Snow Day

Fat flakes of snow are now steadily falling in Gordon County.

Many school officials will be monitoring the rain that could turn into snow by this afternoon; meantime, school is in session.

Calhoun City Schools and Gordon County Schools systems have made a decision to release school early.

Gordon County elementary school will release at 10 a.m. and middle and high schools at 11 a.m.

Calhoun City schools will release at 10:30 a.m.

The after school activities and care program at Gordon County schools will be canceled.

After school care for Calhoun City Schools will still operate as usual, however golf and soccer activities are canceled.

Georgia Northwestern Technical College will be closing all campuses today at 11a.m. The Walker County Campus closed earlier this morning.

if you were really worried you would have kept them at home to begin with ,when it was just RAINING.i got a call the night before explaining exactly what they planned to do in case it did snow.they did the same as all the other schools around us,they just did it first.quit whining a be a real parent.
