Calhoun Police Chief Garry Moss said a 15-year-old Calhoun High School student has been charged in connection with a bomb threat that was discovered written on a wall inside a men’s room at the school.

A bomb was not found on the school property, and was proven to be a hoax, but the threat is a chargeable offense.

"The Calhoun Police Department will not tolerate these actions," Moss said.

The incident took place at Calhoun High School on Feb. 11, 2010.

This is one of two incidents which took place within the same week at Calhoun High but it does not appear the two are linked.

This student is not a suspect in the three other bomb threats that occurred in December 2009.

Because the suspect is a juvenile, the name will not be released, Moss said.
