CMS girls head to semi-final round of BGMSAA tourney

The Calhoun girls defeated Cass Middle School in the first round of the Bartow-Gordon County Middle School Athletic Association basketball tourney on Saturday.

The Lady Jackets improved to 14-1 with the 37-20 victory.

Molly Palmer led Calhoun with 10 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Payton Greeson followed Palmer with seven points. Wimberly Roe scored six, and both Tess Wright and Kyleigh Carney netted four apiece. Carney also added three steals and three assists.

The Lady Jackets will play Ashworth in the semi-final round on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
