January 27 - April 12: Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home announces the new exhibit, “Views of Chieftains.” Chieftains started as a log cabin about 200 years ago, then it was a plantation house about 150 years ago and then in 1928 it changed to the current house. Come and share the views of different artists of this beautiful old home. In addition to recognized artists, there is artwork of the house done by area school children. Learn some facts about one of the most interesting houses in the area!

Kids Art Classes Begin Tuesdays Oct. 6, 4:15-5:45pm In this six week course children will learn the basics of color, composition and design through a variety of projects that include clay, painting and 3-d projects. Cost $70 Members $80 Non-Members plus a $20 supply fee.
Adult Clay Classes Begin Tuesdays Oct. 6, 6:30-9pm $80 Members $90 Non Members Studio Time , Beginners Class $140.00 (Includes instruction, studio time and 25lb bag or clay.) Students will learn the art of hand building clay projects for decorative and useful art objects.
