The Gordon County Sheriff's Office has arrested four people in connection with a number of recent thefts and residential burglaries.

As part of the investigation, search warrants were executed at 151 Mountain View Drive, and also at 161 Mountain View Drive, in the Dews Pond community.

A substantial amount of stolen property such as pressure washers, leaf blowers, and tools were recovered and returned to the rightful owners.

The following men were arrested:

Carl Sanford, 39, of 351 Jolley Road, Calhoun, was charged with multiple counts of theft, receiving stolen property, and burglary.

Larry Dutton, 20, 212 Bellwood Road, Calhoun, charged with two counts of theft and two counts of burglary.

Victor Stevens, 47, of 102 Waterford Drive, charged with multiple counts of receiving stolen property.

William Green, 31, of 351 Jolley Road, Calhoun, was charged with one count of theft.

The thefts and burglaries had all occurred within the past several months. Detectives said both Sanford and Stevens both had criminal records.

Sanford had recently been released from prison on parole. All four of the defendants were held in jail pending bond proceedings, and the investigation is continuing.
