CMS Jackets beat Sonoraville 47-39

The CMS boys basketball team defeated Sonoraville Saturday 47-39 to finish 11-3 and earn a No. 2 seed for the B.G.M.S.A.A. tournament, which will start this Friday at Cass Middle School.

The Jackets were led over the Phoenix by Keyth Fightmaster, who netted 17 points. Avery Johnson followed closely with 12. Andrew Haynes and Brett Moss each scored six. Jessie House knocked down four points and Fields Chapman had two.

The JV Jackets defeated Sonoraville 59-17 to finish 13-1 overall. Kaelan Riley led Calhoun with 17 points. Ray Reeves followed closely with 13. Matt HcHan netted six. Drew McKracken and Ryan Randall each scored five. John Alan Kendrick and Jack DeFoor netted four apiece. K.J. Sturkey and Ethan Woodard both had two. Mathew Pruett scored one point.
