Ashworth girls beat Cass in overtime

Ashworth girls’ varsity team won in overtime over Cass 45 -44 Thursday. Ashley Farrell led the team with 11 points, 9 of them 3 pointers. Shawnda Martin followed with 10 points. Martin came through with the pressure shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime. Kristi Vaughn was a true leader on the court scoring 9 points and pulling down 6 rebounds. Tiffany Lincoln followed with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Shelby Wooden netted 7 points.

Ashworth girl’s j.v. team fell to Cass 32 – 5. Meagan Campbell led the team with 3 points and Jessica Padgett hit 2 free throws.

Ashworth Girls and boys play at home Friday against Woodland and then Saturday against South Central.
