Molly Palmer led Calhoun with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Wimberly Roe followed with nine points and three steals. Both Kaitlyn Smith and Olivia Wilkey each netted four points. Wilkey added seven rebounds.
Ashley Farrell led the Lady Warriors with 12 points, including three three-pointers. Kristi Vaughn and Tiffany Lincoln contributed four points each. Vaughn brought down seven rebounds and Lincoln added five. Shelby Wooden rounded out the scoring with two points.
Ashworth will play Woodland at home this Friday. Games start at 4:30 p.m. They will then play South Central on Saturday with games scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
Calhoun will play Cartersville at home this Thursday with games starting at 4:30 p.m. They will also play Saturday against Sonoraville at home with games scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
JV
The Lady Jacket JV team also defeated Ashworth with a score of 42-2.
Calhoun’s Sydnie Parker scored a game high 10 points. Tamia Wade followed with eight points and four steals. Peyton Clark had six points, five rebounds and four steals. Elizabeth Defalco, Taylor Kelly, Daisy Carpenter, and Laura Carter each netted four points.
Ashworth’s Jessica Padgett scored the lone points and pulled down seven rebounds.
CHS Friday
On Friday the Calhoun girls defeated South Central 46-12. Roe led the team with nine points and Palmer followed with eight points and seven rebounds. Madison Walker, Amber Parker and Wilkey each netted six points. Walker added five rebounds.
JV
The JV girls also defeated South Central with a score of 38-8. Parker led the onslaught with six points. Clark followed with five. Wade, Madeline Murray, Blair Spector, Kelly and Ella Holden each added four points. Wade also had five rebounds and three steals. Spector added four steals and Kelly grabbed six rebounds.
