Ashworth girls defeat SHS 41-22

Ashworth girls’ varsity team defeated Sonoraville 41-22 Saturday afternoon. Shawnda Martin led the team with 15 points. Ashley Farrell hit 4 three-pointers on her way to 14 points. Kristi Vaughn and Tiffany Lincoln tallied 4 points each with Carissa Crump and Catie Worsham rounding out the scoring with 2 points each.

JV

The JV girls were defeated by Sonoraville by a score of 23-13.

“The team gave a great effort with tremendous defense,” said Coach Melanie Moore.

Taylor Thomas led the team with 5 points. Megan Campbell tossed in 4 points and Jessica Padgett netted 4 points while pulling down 9 rebounds.
