Game Week Info

Spirit Events

-Thursday afternoon the senior football players and cheerleaders have been invited to walk the halls and visit with students at the Complex. Junior Jackets will come alive with excitement as they cheer for the team.

-Thursday night the football team, cheerleaders and band will show their Christmas Spirit in Calhoun’s annual Christmas Parade hosted by the Chamber. The Parade will begin at 7 p.m.

-Thursday and Friday everyone is encouraged to show their spirit by wearing black and gold and displaying banners and signs of support at home and their place of business. These days are designated “Spirit Days”.

Early Release

-Friday will be an early release day for students. Parents, students and staff are encouraged to go to the game to help support the team. Band members must report to the Dome at 3 p.m.

-The after-school KEEP program will be available for parents who wish to use the service. The cost is $7 for those taking advantage of this on Friday. Keep will operate until 6 p.m.

-Change of Transportation forms must be completed if students plan to go home a different way than normal. Parents are reminded to write a note to their child’s teacher indicating the change and send it in no later than Friday morning.

Fan Bus

-Plans are being made for a Fan Bus for staff and fans to travel to the Dome. This will be a Calhoun City School bus. Any students riding must be accompanied by their parent(s). A $5 fee will be charged to cover fuel costs. This bus will be limited to the first 50 people who pay their fee. The bus will depart from Yellow Jacket Dr. and will travel with band buses.

Ticket Sales

CHS has approximately 4,000 tickets for the game. Calhoun High School is selling tickets at $15 each. If you purchase tickets at the Dome the cost will increase to $20.

Game Logistics

-Calhoun High School will sit on the visitor’s side and fans will enter through gates A and D on the Southside. Gates will open one hour before game time at 3:30 p.m.

Broadcasting

-The game will be broadcast live on Georgia Public Broadcasting (TV), and GPB.org (web). The game will be available on Demand at GHSA.tv (web) and rebroadcast on GPB Knowledge (TV) on Atlanta Comcast channel 246. Or statewide on over the air service on Comcast channel 3. WEBS 1030 a.m. will stream the game live at www.webs1030am.com.

Driving Directions

From I-75 S: Exit 252 - (Right)Northside Dr. Cross North Avenue and Simpson. The Georgia Dome will be on your left (about 3.3 miles).
