Calhoun boys beat Phoenix 44-43

The CMS boys basketball team improve to 4-1 with a 44-43 win over Sonoraville this past weekend. Avery Johnson led the Jackets with 14 pts. Jacob Parker followed the 13. Austin Byrd scored 9, Andrew Haynes and Keyth Fightmaster each added 4. Both boys teams will play at home on Thursday against undefeated Cartersville. Both the boys and the girls teams (4 games) will play at home on Saturday against Ashworth.

JV

The CMS J.V. boys improve to 5-0 with a 53-32 win over Sonraville. Kaelan Riley led the Jackets with 15 pts. Matt McHan followed with 14. Drew McKracken scored 12, Ray Reeve added 8, and Matthew Pruett netted 4.
