CMS girls defeat Lady Phoenix 37-8

The CMS Lady Jackets basketball team improved to 5-0 on Saturday as they took down cross-town rival Sonoraville 37-8.

Calhoun used a full team effort as seven players scored at least four points.

Molly Palmer and Payton Greeson led the scoring with six points each. Palmer added six rebounds and three blocked shots. Greeson had five steals.

Wimberly Roe followed Palmer and Greeson with five points. Caroline Tarpley, Kaitlyn Smith, Amber Parker and Kyleigh Carney each netted four points. Carney added three steals and four assists.

JV

The JV team also beat the Lady Phoenix 31-2. Calhoun (5-0) was led by Sydnie Parker who netted eight points. Peyton Clark had seven points, nine rebounds and seven steals. Daisy Carpenter knocked down six points.
