Ashworth’s varsity girls defeated South Central 47-7 on Saturday. Ashley Farrell led the team with 13 points followed by Shawnda Martin with 12. Shelby Wooden added seven points for the cause. Carissa Crump and Kristi Vaughn netted four points each. Tiffany Lincoln sank eight points while pulling down 10 rebounds. Jessica Padgett and Hope Chasteen rounded out the scoring with two points each.

The Ashworth Girls J.V. team brought home a victory over South Central 16-5. Becky Worsham led the team with 16 points. Peyton Robinson, Megan Campbell and Ashlyn Kelly tossed in two points each for the win.
