Ashworth Lady Warriors beat Woodland

The Ashworth Middle School basketball team started its season with a 52-36 victory at Woodland. Kristie Vaughn and Ashley Ferrell led the team with 15 points apiece. Shawnda Martin followed with 14 points. Tiffany Lincoln and Shelby Wooden netted four points each.

JV

The Ashworth girls JV team lost a close game 28-22. Ashlyn Kelly led the team with six points and she also pulled down 10 rebounds. Torye Parker tallied six points. Kristen Wall, Ashlan Jennings, Hannah Nelson and Becky Worsham each scored two points to round out the scoring.
