For the person who made the comment about Calhoun making dreams turn into nightmares, please realize that it's not the lack of opportunity in Calhoun that is the problem. It is the lack of motivation of the majority of the people in Calhoun to educate themselves that is the problem.

To "Iseeretartds" (who seems to be the most inteligent of the posters up to this point), I guess you were right. You got your "rambling, incoherent, un-punctuated reply" that you were expecting!

This entire thread of posts is serving to make Calhoun look bad on the worldwide forum of the internet. It is showing what naive and uneducated people there truly is in this otherwise fine town. Kind of reminds me of that Jeff Foxworthy joke when he's talking about the people the news reporters choose to interview... "I SEEN IT ALL!!! IT WAS PANDELERIUM! I THOUGHT WE'D BE KILT, OR EVEN WORSE!" It's a shame that this kind of image is what is most notable out of this town.

Mel, please try to help us shed this reputation. Your last post had somewhere between 3-5 sentences with no punctuation or capitalization. This makes it very difficult to read and gives the impression that you are less intelligent than you are.

And finally, to everyone making threats.... Come on, that's just dumb.

(and if anyone has anything to say about it, you can call me at 706-629-DUMB).

Okay, I lied..I did come back and read the follow-up posts (hey, I'm off today and to be honest, I'm bored!!) To Melanie(?): I did hear the rumor of a fight being involved in this wreck from someone at work before the story was even posted here...I didn't give it any credit then and I don't repeat gossip, but I know a lot of other people with nothing interesting to say about themselves will pass along any story (usually adding their own fabricated "facts") just because they crave a little attention. I'm sorry for your loss and I understand your feeling of needing to defend yourself, so lets just say this: Hi, my name is Melanie and I had a loving relationship with this person for seven years. I'm going to miss him terribly. I understand that some ugly rumors are circulating about the cause of his accident and they are just that...unfounded gossip and lies from people who have nothing better to do than make up stories. Please, out of respect for him, do not believe or repeat them...it also hurts my feeling to have to hear these lies.

BTW, it's not a good idea to be posting your phone number on a message board..it's just an open invitation for all the crazies to give you a call.

If any of you truly loved this person you would not be carrying on like this in a public forum. This kind of behavior is disgraceful and disrespectful. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

i am so very so this was not an arguement of who loved who first i am tryin to defend my own about people thinkin all this was my fault becasue it was not and i know it does not matter what any one thinks and i am sorry i even said anything becasue i know how much he loved me and i love him that all that matters
« Iseeretards wrote on Monday, Nov 02 at 01:07 AM »
Well...I don't recall anyone asking you what you "think". That's some fine advice...to "grow up and get a life", you may just want to think about doing that!! In case you haven't noticed, this is a NEWS website...not exactly the proper forum to post an online argument over who loved who first. The story was about someone being killed in a single vehicle accident, it made no mention of their first love, a fight being involved, or of them being drunk. While it's sad that someone died, if they were indeed driving that intoxicated, it's extremely lucky that an innocent bystander was not killed along with them. Just for future reference, when you post an address or phone number online as a thinly veiled attempt at a threat, you FAIL...not only is it ineffective, it also shows poor judgment. While I'm almost positive that some rambling, incoherent, un-punctuated reply is sure to follow, please forgive the fact that I will neither read nor respond to it...I already feel somewhat dumber for having read the previous post. To the family of the person who died, I can only say I'm sorry for their loss and for the fact that these people choose to memorialize him in such poor fashion.
