Over the next 24 – 48 hours, Calhoun will receive anywhere from two to four inches of rain, according to Richard Cooper, Director of Emergency Management for Gordon County. This rain will be hard at times with 100 percent chance starting early in the morning.

Cooper says citizens should be cautious and expect flash flooding to occur in some areas. There will also be several roads closed from the flooding and barricades will be put up where water is over the road.

Cooper is encouraging all to be prepared for several days of flooding, and be safe. For more information contact the Cooper's office at , 706-602-2905.
