Officials confirmed around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday that Destiny Touchstone, 14 had been found safe in Resaca.
Larry Ryan Smith, 29 who she was believed to be traveling with was taken into custody.
No further details of the investigation were released.

On Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 at approximately 10:45 PM, Destiny Touchstone's grandmother heard a vehicle pull away from the house and looked outside and saw taillights leaving the residence.
A close friend told officials that Alexis told her on the school bus that she was going to run away with a man named Larry Ryan Smith from Atlanta.
