As if a great new-released movie wasn’t enough, Gordon County has added some new activities for their Movies and Moonlight feature. The last show of 2009 will be “Monsters Vs. Aliens,” less than a week after it comes out on DVD.

Now added to the free, county-sponsored event are more inflatibles, six total, including two game type ones.

Cindy Wilson, program director for the recreation department, said they added the new features at the August movie and it received a great response. To celebrate fall, they will have some fall games available, possibly a bean bag toss and other games, she said.

Returning will be Donnie Holmes, a live DJ to provide music and entertainment. Old favorites returning to the Sonoraville Recreation Complex will include the Gordon County Fire Department, 911 representatives, and the clown.

The movie is free and families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and food, but there will be vendors selling food there. Gates open at 5 p.m. and “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” will kick off the double-feature around 7:45 p.m. followed by the main attraction.
