BELLEVIEW — Northbound traffic on Interstate 75 was stalled mid-morning Friday because of a vehicle crash at County Road 484 that left three people injured — one of them critically.

Witnesses told the Florida Highway Patrol that a white Lexus SUV headed north in the outside lane stopped suddenly, for an unknown reason, in front of a semi tractor-trailer.

An official said the truck driver took evasive action but hit the SUV in the rear, sending that vehicle into some woods. The truck stopped in the emergency lane.
