“This continues to be a particularly challenging year for programs serving Calhoun and Gordon Counties,” foundation chairman David Lance said. “Grants that we will make this year are made possible because of the foundation’s permanent endowment. This fact provides a clear illustration of the strategic value of ‘saving for a rainy day.”
Formal applications for funding are located on the foundation’s new Web site at www.communityfoundationNWGA.org. Just click on the Calhoun-Gordon Community Foundation icon and follow instructions.
The grant deadline is Oct. 1. All necessary site visits will be scheduled during early October.
The Calhoun-Gordon Community Foundation was established in November of 2004 to promote philanthropy and build local endowment resources for the residents of Calhoun and Gordon Coun-ties.
Individuals or organizations interested in supporting the foundation’s endowment building cam-paign or who are interested in learning more about the community foundation are encouraged to contact Kristy Brown at 706-624-5325.
The Calhoun-Gordon Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northwest Georgia — a philanthropic foundation seeking to promote charitable giving and the de-velopment of our regional community.
