CPD charges 2 with trademark counterfeiting

Two Tennessee men were arrested last week in Calhoun on counterfeit trademark violation charges, Calhoun Police said.

According to the Calhoun Police Department:

Harry Taylor, 68, of 829 Clark St., Seymour, Tenn. and Fuad I. Sakhleh, 67, of 8361 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tenn., were arrested Sept. 3 and charged with counterfeit trademark violation.

The arrests came after a weeklong operation in which the two suspects delivered a total of 625 counterfeit items.

Officers with the CPD Special Operations Division, with the assistance of Immigration Customs Enforcement and Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms officers, seized counterfeit goods with an estimated street value of $250,000.

Several vehicles and cash were also seized in the operation.
